The Matti-Ovi and Suomen Puuporras concerns, which had previously operated as their own business areas, were merged in June 2006 to form one new cabinetry industry business entity. Clients include hardware stores, construction businesses, house factories, wholesale businesses and do-it-yourself builders.

In addition to Finland, Matti-Ovi is known in many European countries for its high-quality inside doors, which fit many interior decorating styles. Matti-Ovis are available for house packages, and the do-it-yourself builders and renovators can find them in many building equipment stores and chains.

Suomen Puuporras manufactures wooden stairs for private houses, townhouses, and summer houses. The company has invested heavily into a design satisfying different preferences. New customers, for example house factories, have been won over through marketing cooperation with Matti-Ovi.
